One of the most flavorful meals I’ve had in a long time! 😋❤️ Everything was simply delicious, and it was impossible to stop eating. The service was so warm and welcoming, and the cozy, family-style atmosphere made me feel right at home. I loved being able to customize my plate with rotating soups, tasty banchan, and perfectly cooked meats. They also offer catering, which is amazing if you want to bring authentic Korean food to an event without any stress. If you’re in Duluth and craving that “made-with-love” kind of meal, Big Sister’s Kitchen is definitely worth a visit!
We just ate here and could not have had a better experience. The food was delicious and service was excellent! We ordered the bulgogi kimbap, spicy chicken cupbap, and a spicy pork meal. Food was all good, but my favorite was the cupbap— they included a ton of chicken and it was evenly sauced. I included pictures of all the food (we were so hungry so they all have a few bites taken out!) One of the best parts surprised us; we came with our 10 month old and they brought over a plate of food for him!! So thoughtful and sweet. They also came over and entertained him, which he loved. Overall this is a must try, we will be back :)
Like going over to house. Sorry, I don't know Korean too well... But this place is wonderful. Quaint, comfy, simple, and it feels like your friend or friends parents are making you did at their house. Cafeteria trays, large servings, and a cheery anime complete the package. The food is very good. They aren't inventing anything and they affect pushing wagyu beef. Expect well cooked and balanced Korean flavors.
Cozy vibe with friendly staff, clean space, great food, and afforable price! I tried the Spicy Pork with Fried Rice and Ddeokbokki, which was delicious, and the LA Galbi was really tender. The Spicy Stir-Fried Squid with Corn Cheese was a nice combo, and the Pumpkin Salad was unexpectedly sweet and creamy. The Beef Bulgogi Cupbob was tasty and filling. They offer self-serve water and trays, and tips are optional. Definitely worth a visit, and they even do catering!
My fiancee have been coming here for years and the service is always great. Everyone is nice and helpful. Even for a self service restaurant, you'll see the workers go above and beyond for the customer. Food: We usually love getting the box set with a meat and 2 sides. I love the chicken, but the bulgogi is great too. The ddukboki (rice cake) is crispy. I'm not the craziest for korean rice cake, but the one here is so addicting I always have to get it. Also, they do the BEST spicy tuna kimbap. They pack it full and it's huge! If you can't finish it like us, you can always eat it later as a filling snack. Ambience: Nice, quiet atmosphere until it's busy but that's at any restaurant. Great if you're like me and like intimate spaces where you can actually have a conversation without screaming, but there are tables that can seat larger parties too. There's lots of space. The price is a little higher than typical Korean food at other restaurants, but we always come here because we can always expect the best quality so it's worth it!
